Even though this isn’t the first room we think of remodeling, designing your powder bathroom can be a fun project - one that you can start and finish quickly and that can create a wow effect with your guests!

First, it’s important to optimize for a small space. Efficiency is key. Then we can have some fun and create a unique design.

Compact Fixtures

For a small bathroom, you will want to choose a smaller sink and a wall-mounted toilet. Now, compact doesn’t mean without personality! Add a beautiful porcelain sink or a unique tap that will draw attention without taking up space!

Sliding Pocket Door

Instead of the traditional door that can take up some space, look into a sliding pocket door. It will free up space and add a unique touch.

Floating Shelves

Floating shelves are a great way to save room in a small bathroom. You can display your towels, soaps, and fresheners but also add in some decoration pieces.

Lighting

Having good lighting in a small space will really make a difference. Recessed lighting or wall sconces won’t take up too much space while providing enough light.

Large Mirror

Adding a large mirror to a small room isn’t only a bold statement, it also helps to reflect the light and to give the illusion of a bigger space. Choose a mirror frame that will add personality to the room.

Wallpaper

Wallpaper is a great way to add fun to a powder bath, you can play with scale and pattern depending on the size of the room.
